A Successful 2008 Show
| Wensleydale Show Committee would like to thank all those who contributed to a very successful 2008 show. The committee have received many comments of " Best Show Ever" and the entire day went with a buzz .
Visitors numbers were substantially up on last year, as were exhibitors (having the Sheep and Cattle back in such good numbers made such a difference to the feel of our local agricultural show), excellent entries were seen in the Horticultural & Handicraft Sections, especially in the Young Peoples sections, and a record entry of seven in the Dry Stone Walling competition was good to see. The many Trade Stands were colourful and varied, and in the Main Ring the excellent commentary by Mike Kebbles and the organisation of Mike Childs kept the whole event a pleasure to watch.
The weather also helped a great deal with lots of sunshine and no problems underfoot, in an otherwise rather wet month. |

MegaMinis - the MegaMini is a double engine 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steer beast with 2 x 1300 metro engines. Each end has its own fuel tank and battery making each end drivable independent of the other. The results can be catastrophic, and need to be seen to be believed ! |
The Drakes of Hazard - see the tenacious Indian Runner Ducks jaunt across bridges and the rope bridge, known to strike terror into lesser fowl, the "Bridge over the River Quack" and on through the long, dark and mysterious "Bermuda Tunnel" not to mention the feather-ruffling "Tower of Doom". |
